Update

Christy is doing pretty good. She is feeling the effects of getting off the pain meds so the doc set her up on a lower dose to bring her down gently. She is feeling better now, but still needs plenty of rest. Pray that she can get the rest she needs and that she can get to see Mac a little more (which is her heart).

Karen has been sleeping quite a bit from her move and is back on a little IV to help her make the transition. She is in quite a bit of pain so was not able to start the physical therapy today. Pray that Karen can get the rest she needs and that she can start her therapy tomorrow.

Mac is progressing well. The docs started her on the pressure test and she had to go back to the drain a few hours later. She is scheduled to have surgery for the shunt on Tuesday so pray that God will heal/unblock the are of the brain that is causing the issues. She had a couple of friends from school visit today and she was very happy to see them. Mac is writing quite a bit and talking more each day. The therapists are very pleased with her progress and feel that she will do well.

Pray that Nat and Alia can get used to the new norm for the next few weeks as we continue on this path. Pray also for the insurance stuff to work out since the bills are beginning to mount and Duane is concerned that there may be more bills than insurance. Pray that God would protect the Nelson's personally and that everything can be resolved.
