Mac has had a good day at Children's. She had Speech therapy this morning and the therapists was pleased with how well she followed commands. She also had PT and OT today and was able to stand up by herself for 10 seconds. Praise God! The therapists are a little concerned that she is making these moves on impulse and not really thinking them through and will keep an eye on it. She may needs to have a special bed to keep her from getting up in the middle of the night and wandering off until her brain fully catches up, which there are good signs there as well.
Chad, Michelle, and Andrew visited Mac today and she was smiling like crazy cause she was so excited to see them.
Karen is doing well post op and will have meds to reduce swelling. She should be out of ICU by mid-week and then on to rehab.
Christy and Alia are having a nice nap and it feels good to be with the rest of the family for the weekend. It is going to be a great day when we are all under the same roof again.
Continue to pray for peace for the family and a quick recovery for all. Thank you so much for all the hard work and prayers. God is faithful!
